AtJoseph L Greenwell Funeral Home, we strive to provide each of our customers with the best care possible to make the process easier on the family. The goods and services listed below are those we can provide to our families. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
Funeral Service Groupings
The following service groupings are available to our clients that purchase a casket from our casket price list, catalog, or selection room. There are no allowances for items not used.

- Transfer of remains
- Basic services of funeral home and staff
- Embalming
- Other preparation of remains
- Facilities and staff for visitation (two nights)
- Facilities and staff for funeral services at another location
- Funeral coach
- Utility vehicle
- Memorial grouping
- Register book
- Acknowledgment cards
- Prayer cards and/or memorial folders
- Memorial video
Our funeral services include:
Basic Funeral Service
- Funeral counseling
- Necessary arrangements
- Recording vital statistics
- Securing permits
- Filing and obtaining death certificates and other forms and claims
- Preparation of necessary notices and coordination of services plans with parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased.
Embalming
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary however if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose and arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Transfer of remains to funeral home (within 50 mile radius)
Automotive Equipment (within 50 mile radius)
- Casket Coach (Hearse)
- Utility Vehicle
- Additional mileage (at current rate)
- Limousine (family, casketbearers vehicle)
Our partial services include:
Immediate Burial
- Local removal and care of remains
- Basic services of staff
- Authorizations
- Permits and casket coach to a local area cemetery
Direct Cremation
- Local removal
- Care of remains
- Transportation to crematory
- Basic services of staff
- Authorization and permits
This does not include crematory charges and cremation containers. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can choose from different types of cremation containers, such as a cardboard box to a cremation casket. Price list are available. Crematory charges are dictated by the cremation service selected at the time of need. Remains will be delivered to the authorized next of kin. Anything beyond this service will result in additional charges.

Forwarding remains to another funeral home
- Local removal and care of remains
- Basic service of staff
- Necessary authorizations
- Permits and utility vehicle to transfer remains 50 miles or less (see additional mileage)
If air shipment is required, embalming and shipping charges will be additional. This charge does not include embalming, visitation, or any type of ceremony. Anything beyond this service will result in additional charges.
Terms of payment: All cash advance items are due prior to the date of the funeral service; all other fees are due 30 days from the date of the funeral service. Payments may be made by cash, check, credit card, or insurance assignment. In certain situations, payment in full may be required before services are completed.
