William Mattingly Obituary

          William Patrick “Pat” Mattingly age 61 of  Elizabethtown passed away at his residence on Nov. 2, 2014.          He was born and raised in New Haven by the late John David Mattingly Sr and Amie Elizabeth Wimsett Mattingly. He was a Catholic by faith, a former employee with Gates Corporation and a current employee with Akebono Corporation in Elizabethtown as a maintenance technician. He was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid UK fan.           Pat is survived by, his loving wife of 27 years, Marsha Kay Ramsey Mattingly, (2) children; Julie Jo Epperson (Jamie), of Falmouth KY, Jeremy Ray Linder of Elizabethtown, (4) grandchildren, Jordan and Patrick Shartzer, Ashley and Whitley Linder, (1) great grandchild, Talon Shartzer. His siblings; Joe Larry Mattingly (Lois), John David Mattingly Jr.(Joyce), Joanie Dewitt (Ricky), Susan Penna all of New Haven. Michael Mattingly (Leah), of New Hope, Joyce Ann Goatley (Jim) of Bardstown, Rose Carolyn Spink (Bob) of Elizabethtown and Mary Lou Adams (George) of Louisville.   Many nieces, nephews, cousins also survive.             A Funeral Mass for William Patrick Mattingly will be held on Friday  November 7, 2014 at 11 AM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven, with the Rev. Troy Overton  officiating. Burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery in New Haven Kentucky. Visitation will be on Thursday Nov. 6, 2014 from 3-8 PM with a prayer service at 6 pm and visitation Friday morning 9–10:30 am at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.           Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
