Stephen C. “Mickey” “Papa Smurf” Brady, 92, of Bardstown, passed away August 12, 2023 at Landmark of Bardstown. He was a retired employee of General Electric and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf, UK Basketball, NASCAR, especially Dale Jr., playing cards, and music. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Brady; his loving wife, Lois Brady; a son, Johnny Brady; 2 grand-daughters, Ashely Brady and Megan Debrosky; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Rust; along with numerous siblings. He is survived by 2 sons, Stephen and Michael (Lynn) Brady; 3 daughters, Carlene Nalley (Marty), Rosie White (Dave), and Michelle Foran (David); 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grand-daughter; along with his "Fur Baby", Marley. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Catherine Cemetery. Friends may visit 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home.
