Scott Clifton Briggs, age 57 years, of Elizabethtown, passed away, Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his residence. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the US Army as a Master Staff Sergeant. He was currently a Civil Service employee, in HRC (Human Resources Command), in Fort Knox. He was a Baptist by faith, and in his leisure time, Scott enjoyed being on the water fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryant and Shirley Briggs, a brother, Gene Briggs. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sue “Patti” Taylor Briggs, a step-son, Todd Smith and his wife Nancy of Culvertown and a Step Daughter, Tami Boblitt and her husband Jackie of Bardstown. (3 ) grandchildren and (4) great Grandchildren. (3) sisters; Pam Parks and her husband John of Oregon, Eva Huddleston and her husband Jim of Arkansas and Cattie Buchanan of Virginia. In keeping with Scott’s wishes, he was cremated. A Memorial Service with full military honors will be held on Friday Nov. 1, 2013 at 2 PM, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, in Radcliff Ky.
