Samuel Miller Obituary

Samuel Leon Miller, 66, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home. He was a retired employee of Vittitow Refrigeration, a United States Army and Navy veteran, and a member of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Agnes Nevitt Miller;  his brothers, Ronnie, Sar, and Carroll Miller;  and his sisters, Martie, Pud, and Mary Ethel. He is survived by 2 daughters, Pascha Riney (Rob) and Taya Matias (Chuckie);  5 brothers, Bo, Jomet, Butch, Dean, and Ted Miller;  1 sister, Kay Greenwell;  his loving companion, Berndine Smith;  along with 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 28, 2016 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church, New Haven with Fr. Chris Lubecke and Deacon Arnold Downs presiding.  Burial will follow in St. Vincent dePaul Cemetery, New Hope.  Visitation will be Tuesday 3-8 p.m. at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.  A prayer vigil will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
