Robert E. "Bob" Rowlett, 83, of Bardstown, formerly of New Haven, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on October 11, 2025. He was a retired employee of Caldwell Tank, an avid golfer, a longtime member of Saint Catherine Catholic Church, a United States Navy Veteran, a current member of the Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral, and a active member of the Knights of Columbus, Bardstown Council 1290, where he was a member of the honor guard, recorder for the third degree, and faithful navigator for the fourth degree. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earnest and Mary Beatrice Rowlett; along with a sister, Brenda Rowlett. He survived by his loving wife, Cathy-gene; a son, William "Bill" Rowlett; two daughters, Rob-ann Mattingly (Bruce) and Stephaney Ackermann (Mark); two sisters, Bonnie Boyd and Connie Mattingly; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025 at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven. A prayer vigil will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
