Robert Hicks Obituary

Robert Burns “Bobby” Hicks, 75, of New Haven, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016. He was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service with 34 years of service, a United States Army Veteran with 6 years of service, a member of the American Legion Old Kentucky Home Post 121, a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by his parents,Robert Ellis and Mary Gertrude Burns Hicks. 2 sisters, Rozine Hicks and Mary Arlene Elmore. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy Jackson Hicks,  1 Daughter, Angela Young of Springfield, KY;  2 Sons, Brian and Andy (Ange) Hicks;  2 Brothers, Gary (Catherine) and Jody Hicks;  2 Sisters, May (Wayne) Watson and Faye (Walt) Graves;   4 Grandsons, Jason and Jared Young, and Aaron and Ryan Hicks. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. Jason Harris and Fr. Pepper Elliott officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.  A prayer vigil will be held 6 p.m. Monday.
