Nora Spalding Smith

Nora Ann Spalding Smith, 100, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21 2015 at Mercy Sacred Heart Home in Louisville. She was born in Howardstown Ky. to the late Jessie and Nannie Richardson Spalding. Nora was a retired school teacher from the Jefferson County Public School System, with 36 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R. (Red) Smith, along with 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Nora is survived by several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. Funeral Mass for Nora will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday Sept. 25 2015 in the Chapel at Mercy Sacard Heart Home, 2120 Payne St. Louisville Ky., Rev. Joseph A. Lyon celebrant. Burial will follow at 1:30 P.M. in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery, Howardstown Ky. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.
