Mary Reid Obituary

Mary Benita Newton Reid, Nazareth KY, age 86 died Sunday March 29, 2015.  She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bardstown. Retired from Beams Distillery after 25 years of service. Benita was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Carrie Etta Cambron Newton, her husband William Stanley Reid, (4) infant children; William Daniel, David Allen, Mary Patricia, and Doris Linda Reid, her siblings; Laurita Hamilton, Mildred Hawkins, Kathleen Newton, Johnny, Doyle, Carl, Kenneth, Edgar, Augustine and Overton Newton.  She is survived by (5) daughters; Sheila (Tommy) Hurst, Bardstown, Julia (Joe) Osborne, Bardstown, Norma Jean (Bobby) Simmons, Charleston MO, Doris (Richard) Galvin, Louisville, Joe Ann Hamilton, Louisville, (2) sons; Bryan (Jeri) Reid, Pewee Valley and Danny (Theresa) Reid  Bardstown.  (24) grandchildren, (32) great grandchildren and (3) sisters; Margaret Scott, Louisville, Rose Patterson, St. Matthews and Doris Spalding, Lebanon.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral Mass for Mary Benita Reid will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 am, April 1, 2015 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bardstown with Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Bardstown Kentucky.  A Memorial will be held on Wednesday Morning from 8:00 am till 10:30 am at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.  Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
