Martha Jean Cecil

Martha Jean Cecil, 60, of Bardstown, passed away May 9, 2017. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Bertrand Cecil; two sisters, Betty Rae Green and Mary Flaget Cecil; a son in law, Derek Justin Jackson; and her companion, Dinwiddie L. Mathis. She is survived by her mother, Ann Hutchins; a son, Joseph Alan Simpson; a daughter, JoAnna Jackson Willett; three brothers, B (Judy), Tommy (Melissa), and Leonard Cecil; four sisters, Anna June Linton, Brenda Girdley (Billy), Bootsie Culver (Raffo), and Rita Smith; along with her loving dog, Isabella. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.
