Marion Gerard "Jerry" Nevitt

Marion Gerard "Jerry" Nevitt, 63, of New Haven, passed away January 21, 2017 at his home. He was a longtime public servant of Nelson County working with Nelson County EMS, New Haven Fire Department, a Nelson County Deputy Sheriff, and retiring as a Captain for the Bardstown Police Department.  He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, a Kentucky Colonel, and had a love for woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D. and Margaret Essex Nevitt. He is survived by four sisters, Cathy Hardin (Hobart), Angela Nevitt, Donna Hodge (Bob), and Patty Durbin; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.
