Maggie Louise (Hutchins) LeRoy

Maggie Louise LeRoy, 57, of New Haven, passed away February 10, 2023 at her home.  She was a bus driver for the LaRue County School System, a former teacher at Victory Christian Academy, Louisville, a foster parent, children’s and youth minister at Beechgrove Baptist Church, and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and JoAnn Hutchins; along with a brother, Joseph R. Hutchins.  She is survived by her loving husband, John LeRoy; a son, David J. LeRoy (Eva Catherine); a daughter, Tammy McElvain-Swillinger (Zachary); three brothers, Leo Hutchins (Charlotte), and Jimmy Dean and Daniel Worner; two grand-daughters, Izabella Catherine Hutchins and Jillian Leila McElvain; a cousin who was like her sister, Tammy Renee Dillinger; along with her life long best friend, Tammy Sue Doty.  Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with cremation to follow.  Friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Barktown Rescue, Bardstown.
