Kenneth Aaron "Kenny" Barnes

Kenneth Aaron “Kenny” Barnes, age 75 of, New Haven, died at his residence Early Sunday morning August 17, 2014. He was born and raised in Lyons Station by his late parents, William Robert and Nancy Ann Fisher Barnes. Kenny Retired from General Electric after 35 years of service, he was United States Army Veteran and was a member of the Rolling Fork Christian Church in Lyons Station. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Bobby Barnes a sister, Phyllis Dewitt and (2) infant brothers, Donald and Larry Barnes. Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Rose Mary Newton Barnes, his son Michael “Tank “ Mattingly and his wife Jackie Ann, his Daughter Becca Hardin and her husband Dennis. (4) grandchildren, Michelle and Macy Mattingly, Kayla Boddy her husband Matt and Kirsti Hurst and her husband Anthony, (2) great grandchildren, Kayleigh Hurst and Camden Boddy, and (2) step grandchildren Calvin and Brandon Hardin.  (4) siblings, Mary Ann Herron of Louisville KY, Daniel Barnes and his wife Carolyn of Scottsburg IN, Wayne Barnes and his wife Patty of Lyons Station KY, and Gary Barnes and his wife Jeanie of Lyons Station KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be on Monday, August 18 from 3-8 PM at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven KY. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM, August 19, 2014 at the Rolling Fork Christian Church with Bro. Tim Underhill officiating. Burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery. Memorial Donation can be made to the American Cancer Association. Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven KY in Charge of arrangements.
