Joseph Wimsett Obituary

Joseph Kenneth “Kenny” Wimsett, 73, of Bardstown, passed away December 2, 2020 at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Cundiff Construction, and always enjoyed his time as an operator.  He was also a United States Army veteran and attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Shepherdsville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Wimsett; along with his parents, Joe and Lavon Wimsett.

He is survived by two sons, Eddie and Cody Wimsett; three daughters, Rebecca Reed (John), Amanda Thurman (Jason), and Stephanie Hagan (Charlie); one brother, Keith Wimsett (Kim); three sisters, Karen Bullock (Mike), Kathy Greenwell (BJ), and Joyce Hornback (Tommy); along with ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, all services will be private.  His final resting place will be at the St. Catherine Cemetery, New Haven.

Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven, has been entrusted with arrangements.
