Joseph Vittitow Obituary

  Joseph Harold Vittitow 74, of New Haven passed away early Sat. morning at his home. Harold was born and raised in Athertonville by his parents the late Francis Eugene Vittitow and Mary Lillian Smith Vittitow. He retired after 43 years of service at Barton Brands Distillery in Bardstown.  He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother; Fred Vittitow, and a sister; Nancy Mattingly. Harold is survived by his loving companion; Estelle Wimsett of New Haven, her children; Kenny and Jackie Clark of Elizabethtown, Alan and Gail Thompson, Raffo and Annette Wimsett and Timmy and Donna Hurst all of Bardstown.  (2) Sisters; Martha Vittitow of New Haven, and Jean V. (Gary) Boone of Bardstown. (2) Brothers; Irvin (Janice) Vittitow, New Haven and Paul Vittitow of Hodgenville, many nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will begin at 3 pm till 8 pm Sunday with a prayer service at 5:00 pm, and again at 8:00 am on Monday at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.   The Funeral Service will be at 10 am Monday July 25, 2011 at the St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven with Rev.
