Joseph Homer Greenwell

Joseph “Homer” Greenwell, 75, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Jewish Hospital. He was a retired truck driver for the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, New Haven. He is survived by a son, Joey Mattingly, 3 daughters, Robin Koleski of North Carolina and Becky and Angie Mattingly, 3 sisters, Sr. Paul Marie “Rita” Greenwell, O.S.U., Sr. Margaret Marie “Helen” Greenwell, O.S.U.,  and Janice Newton, 12 Grandchildren, his niece and caregiver, Lisa Avery (Scott), and his nephew Brad Newton (Michelle). Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 12, 2015 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.  A prayer vigil will be held 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Catherine Catholic Church.
