John Wheatley

John Edward Wheatley, 82, of Howardstown, KY passed away Feburary 24, 2016. He was a retired employee of Western Union Telegraph, a full time farmer since 1986, a lifetime member of the National Farmers Organization, a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Howardstown, and a United States Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife, Clara Jean Boone Wheatley, 3 brothers; David (Peggy), Mike (Terry), and Hal Wheatley, 3 sisters; Gail Tackett (Edwin), Joyce Marks (Melvin), and Ann Marie Pearson, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend and farm manager, Mark Underwood. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 27, 2016 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Howardstown with Fr. Kenneth Fortener officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Joseph L.
