James Shoffner Obituary

James Dillon Shoffner, 27 of Lexington, formerly of New Haven passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014. Dillon was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp, His 8 years in the service included one tour in Iraq, and two tours in Afghanistan. He had most recently enrolled in the University of Kentucky, where he was a full time student. He was preceded in death by his father, James Patrick “Crazy Horse” Shoffner, a Brother, Joseph David “Joe David” Shoffner, Maternal grandfather, David Ball and Paternal Grandparents, Oscar & Priscilla Shoffner. Dillon is survived by his Wife, Beverly Ann “Bev” Gamble Shoffner; a son, Mason Ray Shoffner; brother, Jonathan Ball; Mother, Gail Ball; step mother, Joanie Shoffner and Grandparents, Ray and Margie Miles and Kathy Ball. He is also survived by many, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Service for James Dillon Shoffner will be held on Friday October 24, at 12 noon at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven, Burial in the St. Francis of Xavier Cemetery in Raywick KY with Military Honors. Visitation for Dillon will begin on Thursday October 23, 2014 from 12-8 PM at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven KY. Please go to www.jlgfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence.
