Irene Greenwell

Elizabeth Irene Greenwell, 92, of Culvertown, KY, passed away on August 17, 2017 at her home. She was the former Irene Thornsberry, a homemaker, and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Eugene Greenwell Jr.; her children, Raphael "Buggs", Stephen Phil, Owen Thurman, Phillip Stan, and Dorothy Ann Greenwell; her parents, James Kendrick and Mary Bertha Thornsberry; and siblings, Narvel, J.R., Billy, Roberta, and Dorothy Thornsberry. Irene is survived by two daughters, Angie Murphy and Carol Greenwell; three sons, Dennis, Vernie, and Van Greenwell; along with 13 Grandchildren & 18 Great Grandchildren. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday 10 AM,, August 21, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fr. Chris Lubecke officiating, with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home.
