Gracie Mae (Gardner) Shelton

Gracie “Dolly” Mae Shelton, 87, of Hodgenville, KY passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.   She was an avid quilter, and loved her family and friends.  She had a green thumb and could make anything grow.  She also enjoyed canning.  She was a retired employee of Elizabethtown Sportswear.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland “Tommy” Shelton; her parents, Linnie and Selma Bell Gardner; and siblings, Mary Margaret Skaggs, Carl Leroy, Linnie, Marvin, Harrison “Shorty”, James “Tubby”, and Henry Gardner. Dolly is survived by five children, Dorothy Lynn Kinyon, Hank (Michelle) Shelton, Joe (Melcenia) Shelton, Crystal (Larry) Bruner, Patty (Billy) Ford; Siblings, Martha “Jean” Bianco, Loris Lee (Stephen), Mary Gibson (Garland), Ray (Elizabeth), Charles (Nancy), and Norman (Diane) Gardner; grandchildren, Christopher and Billy Bruner, Trina Martin, Mitzi Skaggs, Summer Anthony, Amanda Shelton, Timothy, Joey, and Amelia Kinyon, Wesley Karnes and Ryan Ford; along with a host of great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen.
