Geneva Lee Pottinger, 88, of New Haven, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Sunrise Manor Hodgenville. She was the former Geneva Skaggs, a lifelong resident of New Haven, retired employee of the Bardstown Sewing Factory, and a member of First Baptist Church New Haven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Butler R. Pottinger III, along with her 3 brothers, Harold, Bill, and Kenneth Skaggs. She is survived by her son, Butler Ramey Pottinger IV (Donna); her daughter, Karen Denise Roggenkamp (Steve) of Georgetown, KY; 2 sisters, Betty Pottinger and Rita Ann Malone; 3 grandchildren, Casey Clark, Quint Pottinger, and Lee Roggenkamp; along with 2 great-grandchildren, Haven Reece Clark and Adeline Jean "Della" Clark. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church New Haven with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the WMU of First Baptist Church New Haven.
