Geneva Perkins DeSpain

Geneva Perkins DeSpain, age 78 walked through the gates of Heaven Thursday evening, August 29, 2013 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, Kentucky. Geneva was born January 29, 1935 in Howardstown, Kentucky. She was a member of Union Band Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis DeSpain, and her parents, Virgil Leo Perkins and Jennie Perkins, two Brothers Gilbert Perkins and Ray Perkins.  She is survived by her (3) Children, Doris Ann Acob of Elizabethtown, KY, June DeSpain Emberton (Dwayne) of Loxahatchee, FL and David Scott DeSpain (Jill) of Loretto KY. (5) grandchildren, Scotty (Kelly) Acob of Elizabethtown KY, Nicolas (Tracy) Acob of Elizabethtown KY, Nicole Emberton of Orlando FL, Joey Emberton of West Palm Beach FL, and Gavin Scott DeSpain of Loretto KY. (1) great-grandchild, Jayden Joseph Emberton of West Palm Beach FL. (8) Siblings, Patsy Riggs ( Everett), Juanita Shofner (JC), Richard Perkins, Paul Perkins, Tommy Perkins (Debbie), Bonnie Sanders (Eddie), Irene Sprowels (Buddy), and Ethel Lobb (Ebby).  A Funeral Service for Geneva DeSpain will be held on Monday Septeber 2, 2013 at 11 AM, at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven, with Bro. Mike Akridge  officiating. With burial at the Union Band Baptist Church in Howardstown KY. Visitation will be on Sunday 3 pm -8 pm, and Monday 9 am till time of Service at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven. Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
