Edward William "Ned" Browne, 78, of New Haven, passed away December 24, 2016 at his home. He was a retired conductor for L&N and CSX Railroads, a volunteer conductor for the Kentucky Railway Museum in New Haven, a longtime Eagle Scout leader, and a United States Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mildred Meriuns Browne; a son, John Edward Dupree; and a brother, Larry Browne. He is survived by his loving wife, Earlena Cilley Browne; 3 sons, Daniel and David Browne and Martin Eldersma; 2 daughters, Denise Dupree and Roxann Emmerson; 1 brother, Steven Browne; along with 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Lebanon National Cemetery on Thursday 11 a.m. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven.
