Dorothy Burba Obituary

Dorothy Celestine Cecil Burba, Culvertown age 82 died at Life Care Center Friday evening, August 23, 2013. A life long resident of Nelson County, she was born and raised in Balltown, by the late Francis Claud and Clara Magdalen Devers Cecil, a Catholic by Faith and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was very active with the Bingo for many years and a Lector. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a Son Paul Kevin Burba, a son-in-law, Jose Nalley, (2) brothers, Harold and Junior Cecil; (6) sisters, Mary Rita Settles, Mildred Aldridge, Lucille Owens, Annette McChesney, Stella Clements, and Bertha Riney. Celestine is survived by her loving Husband, Joseph Walter Burba, Culvertown, (1) daughter, Brenda Louise Nalley, New Haven; (6) sons, Anthony Wayne (Maria) Burba, Boston, Billy Joe (Elaine) Burba, Bardstown, John Christopher “Chris” (Jackie) Burba, Culvertown, Mark Alan (Leigh) Burba, Rineyville, Thomas Kerry “Tom” (Jennifer) Burba, Culvertown and James Terry (Renee) Burba, Culvertown. (16) grandchildren, (14) great grand children. (2) sisters, Ann Marie (Luther) Gilpin, Laverne (Billy) Mackin, and (1) brother, Bill (Mary Alice) Cecil.  A Funeral Mass for Dorothy Celestine Burba  will be held on Tuesday, 11 am, August 27, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown, with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Church Cemetery in Bardstown Kentucky.  Visitation will be on Monday from 1 pm-8 pm with a Prayer service at 6 pm, and on Tuesday morning 9–10:30 am at the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.  Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
