Delmont Kennedy

Delmont Ray Kennedy, 82, of New Haven, passed away on July 27, 2017 at his home. He was a native of New Haven, a retired employee of Gates Corporation, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Mason. He was also a member of Rolling Fork Christian Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Kim; his parents, Bryant and Bessie Lafollette Kennedy Sr.; one sister, Hilda Imogene Kennedy; along with four brothers, Cecil, Bryant Jr. and two infant brothers. Delmont is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nonia Jean Morgan Kennedy; Two daughters, Becky (Larry) and Paula (Chris) Kennedy; One son, Mark Kennedy; Along with five grandchildren, Aaron Kennedy, Wyatt Bennett, Brittany Bennett, Alex Clarke, and Easton Norris. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home with burial to follow in Edlin Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Bro. John Williams will be officiating the services.
