Charles G. "Jerry" Mahoney

Charles G. "Jerry" Mahoney, 82, of New Haven, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home. He was a devout Democrat, Honorary Kentucky Colonel, a member of Pipefitters Local 502/522, co-founder of the Blue Knob Country Club, and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles D. and Theresa Boone Mahoney and a sister, Charlene Childress Jones. He is survived by his loving wife, June Ray Mahoney; two sons, David G. and Michael W. (Stephanie) Mahoney; a daughter, Tammy Stanley (Matthew); a brother, Larry Mahoney; along with nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Catherine Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Catherine Academy.
