Bernard Boone

Bernard Henry Boone, 77, of New Haven, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his home. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and the Rolling Fork Volunteer Fire Department, a employee of General Electric for over 30 years and Mago Construction, a lifelong farmer, and a United States Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his brothers, J.A., Lawrence, and Jasper Boone; two sisters, Pauline Gootee and Roseann Mattingly; along with two grandchildren, Adam and Ashley Boone. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Nell Smith Boone; two sons, Jeff (Carrie) and Todd (Terri) Boone; two daughters, Angie Robey (Dennis) and Stacy Covington (Lee); one sister, Helen Boone; along with eight grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Nelson County.
