Anna Christine Sims

  Anna Christine “Chris” Sims (89) passed peacefully with her family at her side on July 3, 2012. She now joins her husband, “Tony”, to dwell with our Heavenly Father.  She is survived by four children, Kaye Sims (Dick Smith) of Sacramento, CA, John Anthony Sims (Celie) of Louisville, Rosie Norris (Mike) of Louisville and Bob Sims (Shayesteh) of Cary, NC. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.   Born in Howardstown, KY on October 17, 1922 of Hugh and Catherine Spalding, she was the oldest of 11 children. She is also survived by 4 siblings: Frankie Lesousky (Louisville), Hugh Spalding (Louisville), Sheeren Spalding (Lexington) and Edwin Spalding (Howardstown).  Chris worked in the legal field with several prominent Louisville attorneys concluding her long and successful career with the Kentucky Supreme Court.   Visitation services will be held Friday evening, July 6, 2012 at Ratterman’s Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm with funeral mass at St. Ann’s Church, Howardstown, KY on Saturday at 9:00 am.  The family requests that expressions of sympathy are made to St. Ann’s Church 7500 Howardstown Road, New Haven Ky 40051 or to a charity of choice.  Joseph L Greenwell New Haven, KY in charge of arrangements.
